CONTRIBUTION. CONNECTION. DISCOVERY.
What might we discover when we take part?
There is something different about spending time in a place, learning alongside its people, and contributing to work already taking place.
This immersion brings us into school life in Tanzania, where we will support Cathy's workshops or spend time in a classroom with younger students. Beyond the campus, there is space for a Maasai village visit, safari experiences and the landscapes of East Africa.
Our journey also takes us to an eco farm stay in Kenya, with mountain hikes, time outdoors, and sunsets that turn the sky red. We’ll have room to pause, reflect and share what the experience is bringing up for us.
THE EXPERIENCE
Be part of the learning. Make space for discovery.
A proposed journey combining time on a school campus with wildlife, cultural encounters, and an eco farm stay.
01 | TANZANIA - CONTRIBUTE
Support Cathy as she facilitates workshops for students preparing to start university. Together, we will help create opportunities to practice:
Financial management and everyday money decisions
Presentation skills and speaking in front of others
Assertive communication
Time management and preparing for greater independence
There may also be opportunities to work alongside teachers in classrooms with younger students. Activities and participant roles will be agreed upon with Cathy and the schools in response to their priorities.
Learning that prepares students for life
02 | TANZANIA - CONNECT AND EXPLORE
Africa beyond the classroom
Experience life on a school campus, visit a Maasai village and take time to encounter wildlife on a Safari.
These experiences invite us to listen, ask questions and consider what we can learn from the people and place with spend time with.
03 | KENYA - PAUSE
Mountain air and red skies
Stay at an eco farm in Kenya, with opportunities for mountain hiking, quiet moments and conversation as the day come to a close.
After our time in Tanzania, this is an opportunity to reflect on what we have experienced and what we may carry into our everyday lives.
04 | OPTIONAL EXTENSION - ZANZIBAR
A little more time to explore
For those who wish to extend their journey, Zanzibar is a possibility to explore in our planning conversations.
The extension is optional. Arrangements, availability and costs are still to be confirmed.
Time to pay attention.
To the place, to each other, to ourselves.
WHO IT'S FOR
Come on your own.
Come together.
The experience is for people who are curious, willing to participate and comfortable learning alongside others. Our starting point is respect for the people, schools, and communities welcoming us.
Join a small group with a shared interest in contribution, learning, and exploring a different part of the world.
Individuals
Share an experience that gives you time to contribute together, discover new perspectives and enjoy the journey.
Couples
Bring your curiosity and your friendship into an experience that offers more to talk about, reflect and remember together.

YOUR HOST
Cathy Dimarchos
Solutions2You
Cathy brings her work across leadership, financial capability and human behaviour into practical learning experiences. Her ongoing work with students in Tanzania is the foundation for the school component of this immersion.
We will take our lead from Cathy and the educators we work alongside. Each person brings different experiences and our conversation will help identify where we can contribute thoughtfully and what support we need to participate.
Learning alongside.
Contributing with care.
BEFORE WE GO
A few things to know
-
The proposed travel period is late September to early October 2027. Exact dates, duration, and the sequence of the journey will be confirmed as planning progresses.
-
Let's discuss your experience, interests and comfort with supporting students. Cathy will guide workshop involvement and classroom participation will be arranged with the schools. An expression of interest starts that conversation and does not confirm a place.
-
The proposed experience combines staying on a school campus in Tanzania with an eco farm stay in Kenya. Room arrangements, facilities and accommodation for other parts of the journey will be discussed before you decide to apply.
-
Pricing and inclusions are still being developed. Accommodation, meals, transport, safari arrangements, flights, and any optional extension will need to be clearly set out before a commitment is requested.
-
Mountain hiking is part of the proposed Kenya experience. Routes, physical requirements and any alternatives are still to be confirmed. Please raise mobility, health or accessibility needs in your conversation with Cathy so suitability can be explored.
-
The next step is a conversation with Cathy about your interests, the proposed experience and whether it feels like a suitable fit. You can then discuss applying as further details become available.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - 2027
